Indy -1
my first ever selection for NFL is Indy -1
Indianapolis has covered their last 4 exhibition openers. Michael Vick and the Falcons have dropped their last 2 preseason games. There other exhibition games were also Atlanta 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games away from the Georgia Dome and 0-4 ATS in their most recent meetings with AFC foes. They are planning on playing this game in the Tokyo Dome. Meanwhile, Indy is 6-2 ATS overall the last 2 years, including 4-0 ATS away from their dome.
It also will be a meeting of two of the most exciting quarterbacks in the NFL - Michael Vick of the Falcons and Peyton Manning of the Colts, although both will spend the majority of the game on the sidelines.
We all know what happened to "Quick Vick" a few years back during a exhibition game.So I am sure they do not want a repeat performance.
Also coach Tony Dungy had said,We want to go over there and win the game," . "We want to play well and represent the AFC and represent our country.” while Jim Mora had this to say “We'll come to some sort of arrangement in terms of when a guy like Peyton or Mike is in the game, are we going to blitz? Are you going to bring everybody or are we just going to play some football? What we really want is to see Peyton Manning and Michael Vick playing in the regular season.”
Which also tells me they really don't care about this game.
I will be putting up 2 units for Indy to beat the point spread, Although the O/U is 41 I would tend to take the under as well, but I am risking 200 on indy -1 with my local.
I will attempt to give predictions like this more often to help out my fellow cappers as there are some awsome cappers in these threads that have given me selections on the games, (NBA MLB) NFL is were I do most of my winnings anyway.
